MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY(C.V.JAGAN MOHAN Sr.Pastor)

For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21
I was born and brought up in an orthodox Hindu family, where we worshipped idols and gave priority to goddesses. We were very zealous about caste; we used to ridicule people of lower castes and tribal people. We even thought that Christians were also of the low caste. This is why we never allowed any Christians or low-caste people into our home nor let alone touched them. We had our own isolated puja (prayer) room in our house, which contained 27 pictures of various idols. Twenty years ago our entire family was attacked by witchcraft, performed by our neighbor. Consequently, my mother and I were demon possessed. For example, while we were starting to have our food, the cooked rice turned into worms. Many nights we couldn’t Sleep because we heard somebody knocking at our door at nights, but when we opened the door no one was there. In the morning, we woke up to see all our things scattered about. We approached many magicians to try to get rid of these problems and demons. We spent a lot of money and went to many Hindu temples to offer money and materials. But we couldn’t find any deliverance, rather the problems increased even more than before. At last, one Sunday all eight of our family members decided to commit suicide. But fortunately a lady who was serving in a Catholic Church behind our home passed through our house. She asked us, "Why do you look very sad?" As she was talking to my grandmother, the lady entered our home and looked into our puja (prayer) room. Then she said, "In this puja (prayer) room you are keeping many gods, pictures and idols. Did any god died for your sins, except Jesus Christ?" Though we had read some books about Hinduism, we never found any god like Jesus, who died on the cross and who was resurrected from the dead.
Finally we confessed that Jesus is the only God, who died for our sins. Then we shared our problems with the lady and she invited us to attend church. Miraculously, our family escaped from committing suicide. We obtained peace of mind but as we discovered later, not full deliverance from the demons. After some time, one of my mother’s colleagues invited us for an all-night prayer meeting at the Church of South India (Madras), which we attended for seven months. But on the seventh month the demons attacked my mother and me more vigorously. Then the pastor told us about confession of sin and salvation through Christ. The same days my mother was delivered, but I was yet to receive any deliverance. My parents sincerely repented and were baptized. We went back home burned all our idols, pictures, etc.
Three months after my parents` conversion, I was again terribly attached by the demons and laid in bed unconscious for seven days. Even my parents lost hope that I would gain consciousness again. But the pastor from the Pentecostal Church prayed without taking a drop of water for seven days and I got life back on very seventh day. Thorough this event, all the rest of our family came to the Lord and since that time our entire family have been devoted only to Christ. All this occurred in 1979.
After that I went on to further study. While I was completing my degree the Lord called me to serve him full time. He confirmed my call through Luke 6:13 \"AND WHEN DAY CAME HE CALLED HIS DISCIPLES AND CHOSE TWELVE OF THEM, WHOM HE ALSO NAMED APOSTLES\'. I had the privilege of studying the word of God for three years in a seminary (B.D) school at Dehra Dun Uttranchel in North India.

There I received the burden for Punjabis to share the love of Jesus Christ and in 1993, I became a pioneer missionary along with my family. I worked as Project Manager under World Vision in Dehra Dun in the state of Utter Pradesh. I was promoted as Coordinator and transferred to Chandigarh when the Lord spoke to me in 1993 to be a church planter.
Early Ministry (Start Up) Establishment of our church
"Go into all the world and preach the good news¦ "Mark 16:15
Sixteen years ago, my wife and I were called, by the Grace of God to go into Northern India, a place where the Gospel had not been preached. I had been working as project coordinator for World Vision in Chandigarh the state capital of Punjab and Hariyana in Northern India. The Lord put on our hearts to become a church planter. We prayed and asked God to send us to a place where there were no Christians. He led us to a village known as Maloya.
The people of Maloya are Hindu and Sikh. We would walk everyday 18 kms round trip to hand out Gospel tracts to the people. In the beginning we were collecting discarded tracts because the people were not interested. Many people mocked us, because they thought we were there just to have fun and not work.
For one year there was no response. It was very hard on us because we had no family there and no friends. But, we continued. One day a Hindu man stopped us and questioned what we were doing. We introduced ourselves as full time ministers of God. We shared our testimony and the Gospel with him. He was very much attracted to our message and us. He soon shared his problems with us. He suffered from epilepsy. The doctors could not give him relief. He also was in great financial debt. We told him that through Jesus Christ there is hope. That very day, he and his family accepted Jesus as their savior. We prayed for him and he was delivered from epilepsy and soon after was given a job as a cook and got out of debt and was able to keep his home. We then began praying, teaching and counseling them over the next month. Their neighbors tried to discourage them from associating with the Christians. One woman, who was possessed by a spirit, told this man and his family not to believe what we were teaching them. So they began to come to our house. They were so amazed at the love we showed them that they decided to never return to Hinduism.
After this, one by one his extended family came to know Jesus as their savior. Many other people in the community also heard of the miracles that happened and came to hear about this hope. In ten years time, we have had the privilege of baptizing 250 new believers from the village of Maloya.
Our church has grown so much that we are in need of expanding building. Currently we are having a very small building to hold our services. By the grace of God from our own church we raised three servants of God, those who had been saved from Hindu community through our ministry from Maloya and sent them to different parts of Punjab

There are five Sunday school centers have been established and VBS also being conducted every year June. Also, we have a day care center for poor children where children are collected from streets and poor homes etc and given a meal and education without collecting any money from this poor community. These are the channels been used to drawn adults and children for Christ Kingdom in this persecuting area for Christianity. In spite of every hurdles and opposition for Gospel the Kingdom of God is extending by preaching and teaching and seminars and Sunday Schools (WE HAVE ESTABLISHED SO FAR 6 CENTERS WITH 60 CHILDREN IN EACH CENTER) etc.

MALOYA PRAYER HOUSE

Introduction: Brother Jagan and Mrs.Daisy Mohan got saved from Hindu before they got married each other in different situation and they had worked in World Vision with many capacities till 1993. After the call of God they went to as a missionary to the village known as Maloya where there was no church nor Christians under Chandigarh Territory North West India. And also we have established an organization known as Nava Jeevan (New Life)Social Welfare Society Registered under the Government of India.

Vision: To spread the Gospel and plant the churches by reaching remote villages and slums and in and around the North India

Aim: 1000 churches and 300 missionaries to raise in and around North India

About Maloya:

Population of Maloya :More than 48,000
Spiritual Status:
1.Hindu Temples- 13,
2. Sikh Gurudwara -5
3.Mosque:-3
4.Christian Church one.( Maloya Prayer House that we established now)

Formation of Colony: In 1990 Chandigarh Government has made a policy to help underprivileged people to get some small houses for those are living streets and unauthorized lands of Chandigarh.  Mostly these people have been migrated from other states due to employment and to livelihood.  Of course Govt. has built a room with toilet and electricity and water with minimum rates of Rs.100/ per month till 25 yrs. mostly they are employed as temporarily in repairing roads by the Public Works Departments and pulling rickshaws.  Govt. has provided these houses under the condition of one should not sale it nor purchase it but people knowingly did it due to going back home state and reason of poverty.

CHURCH ACTIVITIES:

1.To provide facilities of education to poor children

Day Care Center: This center has been established with a couple of reasons like to provide facilities for poor children to have a one meal those are left behind after the parents goes for work and some of them are street children those are not having education and rebellions of their parents and some of them are dropped from school due to financial constrains.  So even now we have many children are awaiting to join this center for help but since we have no provision and facilities we are not able to take care of them. At present we have got 40 children and around We do the service for them by faith .Another reason in North India we are allowed to reach the souls directly so we reach them now through these parents with Gospel.  Praise so far the Lord helped us to reach some for His Kingdom.  Amen!!! The need is great but OUR GREAT GOD IS MORE GREAT THAN NEEDS WHO SUPPLIES AND SUSTAINS FOR HIS KINGDOM SAKE.
We need you contribution if you wish to do some or at least we shall appreciate you and your reward would be great in heaven .  And your contribution would make great difference in the life of these poor children.

James 1:27
27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

2.Conduct VBS

3.Church Planting

4.Help the widows and orphans

5.Conduct the seminars

6.Conventions

7.Track distributions

8.Medical assistance for poor people (community)

Achievements: There were 47 young boys have been trained and sent out and particularly there were three missionaries raised from the village where we ministered them and brought to Christ from other religion and sent out different parts of North India. Many children been reached with Gospel and now they are standing on His Word.

This is the testimony of how the Lord wrought His miracle power in the life and ministry of my wife and I!

TRANSPORTATION MIRACLES:

In 1993 we started a ministry in Maloya village - We had to walk 18Km  every day to get there from our home.  One Sunday we walked along as we always did with my older son  Sam (6 months). We had to leave our house at 7am to reach Maloya by about 10 am since we had no transportation of our own.

When we arrived at Maloya we discovered that the house we had hired was empty- not a single person was there! We spread out a carpet and on our knees we prayed, worshiped and sang to the Lord. I began to share from the Word as if there were more people there than just my wife and six month old son, Sam.. We put our offering into the offering box. After the service we went to leave.

We hadn’t ate or drank all day so we decided to head home to prepare some rice and grains.  The weather was so hot though and my son was getting restless so we decided to take a rickshaw.  Normally the Rickshaw puller would ask 20Rs for this journey but by faith we asked one rickshaw puller how much it would cost to bring us to home sector 44c from Maloya village and he asked for only 8R’S!  This was exactly what we had in our hands! We were so surprised we asked the Rickshaw puller three times but He said , Yes sir every time. Again,  it was shocking and surprising to us and we praised God when he brought us to home for Rs.8 instead of Rs.20.  Praise the Lord!!!! It was first miracle that he did in our ministry.

Second Miracle: About Gas

By Gods grace after one year I was able to get a scooter for my family and I to use for ministry. As far a field as 300 KM away on occasions! On one occasion there was a brother from Kenya who worshiped with us with us who invited me to go his house for prayer after Sunday worship. He had asked me to be there for exactly 5 pm and so after a couple of hours rest I started the journey. However, One and a half km into my journey my scooter got stuck in the mud and stopped!

Then I checked the engine- it seemed fine but the starter just would not start.  I checked the gas and the tank was empty but I had no money at all.  So in the very spot where my scooter had stopped I began to Praise the Lord and ask him for a miracle .  All of a sudden there was another brother from Kenya who was coming to my house to see me for prayer and fellowship and he asked me why I was stopped there.

Before I could answer he said that he came to spend some time praying and fellowshipping with me and so I told him to come in a couple of hours.  He said said he was in no hurry and that prayer and fellowship was not the main reason for his visit and that he wanted to give me a small gift.

He handed me an envelope and asked me to pray for the gift and for him. After I prayed he left and returned to his home.  Then I opened the envelop and saw Rs.500/- wow!!!! I began praising God and took the money to gas station only 15 minutes away. I got enough gas and went to that brother's house and had prayer with him and he blessed me abundantly.  I was praising God and thanking him!

If you are led by the Spirit of the Lord you may call us to give anything for this ministry and it will be highly appreciated as well.

Hindu radicals go on the rampage in India's Orissa state, Christians are "running for their lives," says one missionary.

One woman was killed and a priest seriously injured when a mob burned down a Christian orphanage Monday during widespread violence triggered by the killing of a radical Hindu leader over the weekend.

The mob cleared the orphanage, located in Khuntapali, of children and set the place on fire, leaving the woman, a 21-year-old teacher, trapped inside.

"The fundamentalist groups have always opposed us," noted one GFA worker, "and now there is great tension prevailing, and Christians are running away for their lives."

Yohannan urged Christians to pray for believers in Orissa.

"Having ministered in Orissa, I can only imagine the plight of these tribal believers, forced to run for their lives into the jungle," he said. "My heart goes out to the missionaries and believers. We must pray with all earnestness for the suffering church in Orissa at this time."

"you will be hated by all for my name sake"
(Luke 1:17)

My Beloved Brothers and Sisters, !!

Loving Christian Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. While majority of us are spending  our time in day to day duties, innocent Christians are getting killed. They are longing for a piece of bread. They are crying and suffering without shelter&food.

Christians in Orissa have lived in poverty and now once again their life has become more miserable after the persecution broke out for the second time in 8 months on 23rd August this year. Their huts are burnt down, their clothes and other belongings burnt. Each one of us must stand up now to stop the attack on Indian secularism which is in greater danger.

The VHP (World Hindu Federation), has masterminded this mayhem. This calamity has left the killing over 20 christians, 317 villages destroyed, 4014 homes burnt, over 100 churches demolished, over 13000 in relief camp and 50000 made homeless, hiding in forest. Hindu extremist forcing them to change their faith, if they return to village as Christians they are not accepted by other caste villagers.

Dear Brothers and Sisters what can we do for our brothers and sisters in Orissa, we can do one great thing, i.e to  "Pray" to almighty God who can change everything, He is in control, . We Must pray that
Christians all over Orissa should stay strong in the faith.Let the Angels of God strengthern them. Jesus said "in the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the World" (john 16:33) let them get the strenth to overcome this troubled time. Jesus has taught us that because of His name sake this world will hate us, this is happening in Kandhmal in Orissa and slowly spreading to other parts and states in India,

When Peter was kept in prison ; earnest prayer for him was made to God by the Church, So the Church of Christ must pray earnestly and let the name of God be glorified. Let us pray together "I lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth"(psalms 121:1); Why do the nations conspire, and the people plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and his anointed, saying , 'Let us burst their bonds asunder and cast their cords from us.' He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision.

Remember also the 4 million people rendered homeless due to floods in the state of Bihar

Hope in Christ beloved. You please join us in praying  for our Brothers and sisters deliverance and remember that there are thousands of little children crying for food .God Bless you and keep you.

Following the assassination of Hindu leader Swami Laxmananda Saraswati on August 23, 2008 in Orissa State, India, Hindu leaders accused Christians and called for revenge.

The attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 100 Christians, two of whom were burned alive. The mobs also destroyed hundreds of houses and churches and forced thousands of Christians to flee for their lives into the surrounding jungle.

A Maoist group later claimed responsibility for killing Saraswati and four of his disciples August 23, saying that fanatical Hindus' claims that Christians murdered him were "lies."
Open Doors is asking supporters to email the Indian Ambassador to the U.S., Ronen Sen, to ask him to provide adequate protection for Christians in Orissa and to ensure justice and compensation to the victims of the violent
